COVID-19 Protocols

Aster Wellness Centre will be re-opening on May 21st for in-person sessions.
We have been working non-stop to make sure our clinic is ready and safe for our staff and clients to return.
We ask that you please adhere to our COVID-19 Clinic Protocols in accordance with recommendations and requirements imposed by our associations, colleges and B.C Ministry of Health.

Please be aware that the opening of our clinic will be a gradual process and that some treatments will only be available at a later date. Additionally, our reception hours might differ slightly until June 15th.

In case you prefer online treatments: we are still offering Counselling, Naturopathic Medicine, and Nutrition Counselling sessions online for clients who are not comfortable for in-person services. When using the online booking, please make sure you are booking the correct treatment (online VS in-person).

Our phone lines will be busy the next coming weeks! Please provide us with your contact info in case you reach our voicemail, or contact us via email ([email protected]) so we can be in touch with you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we will return all of our messages within 24 hours.

COVID-19 Protocols

Please be aware of the following changes:

  • WAITING AREA:
    • Our waiting area will only have two chairs available to respect social distancing. In case our waiting area is full, we ask you to wait outside until you are called in.
  • PPE:
    • Please bring and wear your own mask! Our staff will be wearing masks to keep you safe and we are requesting our clients to do the same. In case you are not able to bring your own mask, our clinic will be able to provide you with a disposable mask.
  • LEAVE EXTRA BELONGINGS AT HOME:
    • Please do not bring food or beverages in our office. Reusable water bottles are allowed.
  • PAYMENTS:
    • We will not be handling cash or cheques to minimize contact with clients. Payments will be through credit card or debit visa. In the event you don’t own a credit card or debit visa, please contact our centre before the start of your treatment.
    • Direct billing will not be affected.
  • RECEIPTS
    • We will not be handing out paper receipts to clients. All receipts will be emailed.
  • INTAKE FORMS
    • There will be no paper intake forms in the waiting area. Clients are requested to fill out any intake forms online. In case this is not possible, please contact our clinic so we can email you a copy for you to bring.
  • HAND WASHING:
    • Please wash your hands before entering our suite. There will be hand sanitizers in every office that are available to use before and after your treatment.
  • PRE-SCREEN COVID-19:
    • You are required to do a pre-screen either over the phone or online before the start of your appointment. If you do not pass the screening questions, your appointment will need to be rescheduled to a later time.
    • The online screening survey will be sent to your email 24 hours before your appointment and is mandatory.
  • CLEANING:
    • We are booking appointments with enough time in between to sanitize and clean the treatment rooms.
  • TIME OF ARRIVAL:
    • Please only arrive at our clinic at your appointment time. Clients that are very early are requested to wait outside until closer to the appointment time.
  • SOCIAL DISTANCING
    • Please be aware of the social distancing rules.
  • NON-ESSENTIAL VISITORS
    • Only clients that have an appointment will be able to enter our suite. While we understand that some clients need the support of a loved one, we request that your support person waits outside or in the car.
    • This does not include clients that need physical assistance, translators from the same household, or under-aged children that need parental support.
  • CHILDREN:
    • We want to prevent children in the office unless they are receiving treatment.
    • In case parents are not able to find childcare, we encourage parents to do their treatments virtually instead of in-person, or to wait until all restrictions are lifted.
  • FRONT DESK
    • Tape will indicate where you may stand if you need front desk assistance.
    • Front desk staff will be able to help you with your bookings but we do recommend to make your follow-up appointments either online or over the phone when you are safe at home.
  • NO WALK-INS:
    • We are not allowing any walk-ins. Only clients that have an appointment will be able to enter our suite.
  • WASHROOMS:
    • Our washrooms are shared with other businesses. We ask you to wash your hands and/or use our sanitizer after every washroom break.
  • SELF-SCREEN:
    • Please complete a self-screening at home. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, we are requesting you to cancel or reschedule your appointment to a later date.
      • fever
      • shortness of breath
      • sore throat or difficulties with swallowing
      • chills
      • cough
      • fatigue
      • headaches
      • muscle aches
