Teens, individuals, families
Tuesdays and Sundays
Hi! My name is Sarah. I’m a Master of Counselling student at City University and I’m thrilled to complete the internship portion of my degree at Aster Wellness!
In addition to counselling, I am passionate about the process of learning. I’m trained in the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach and a registered National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) educational therapist. As an educational therapist, I am highly-trained to work with struggling learners in one-on-one therapy settings. I have worked with children to remediate dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Watching young people blossom and grow into themselves is incredibly rewarding.
As a counsellor, I will walk by your side and support you. You are not alone. The depth of my own personal experiences has given me a broad understanding of the struggles and challenges that life sends our way. Being stuck is only a temporary state. I will not turn away from difficult conversations. Let me help you to navigate your world. I’m always happy to work with teens, individuals, and families.
In my spare time, I’m a passionate horticulturist tending to my plants or searching for the next plant. To challenge myself, I’ve spent time on stage doing stand-up comedy. Best of all, I look forward to the laughter that comes from spending time with my teenage children.
